Keith has been a personal trainer for 8 years and lives and breathes fitness, he can’t get enough of it.
“I strive to get the best out of my clients and aim to get the best results possible by tailoring the sessions to specifically suit each individual’s needs.
Every client’s needs and interest are different, so my job is to adapt each session to suit and combine it with the motivation you need to ensure you get the results and satisfaction to ultimately achieve your goals.”

From a young age I have always been involved in sports. From the age of 6 I trained in judo until about 12 years old. From the age of 21 I started to go to the gym and started lifting weights.
I constantly trained for 5 – 6 years before my first local bodybuilding competition. It was my first show and I won.
After this I got to qualify for the British Final in toned figure, I also won this. Since then I have been competing every year, my biggest achievement was in 2015 when I was competing at BodyPower in Birmingham and I came 3rd place at body fitness class.
I am currently now a Personal Trainer helping my clients achieve their goals whatever their requirements are – getting fitter, loosing weight, bodybuilding, gaining muscle, nutrition plans. I am a big believer in healthy balanced life style. Most of my clients are ladies of all ages. I always advise my clients to lift heavy to enhance their physique. Consistently is the key

I have always been very active and heavily involved with sport from an early age competing in running , football , rugby , boxing and many other aspects of fitness until I believe I found my passion in the gym which was weight training and functional fitness. I have also competed in Bodybuilding so have a very extensive background in all aspects of health and fitness.
I quickly developed and advanced myself to completely transforming my own physique and mindset and then decided I could help anyone who needed the knowledge achieve what they never thought was possible.
All you need is the correct help , guidance and support.

From a very young age I have always been involved in competitive sport. I was lucky enough to spend time as a professional Thai Boxer in Thailand before returning to the UK to follow up my passion as a PT.

Hey, I’m Kim – the newest addition to the soundest gym in Wakefield.
Since the first day I stepped into a gym with my first ever PT, I found a love for doing scary things and proving to myself I’m stronger & more capable than my mind sometimes lets me believe. This progressed into a passion of helping other women believe the same in themselves.
As a PFCA qualified Personal Trainer and online women’s health & fitness coach, I’m a big advocate for health and fitness not being a “quick fix” or taking over your life entirely – you can be focused, strong, fit & healthy whilst still enjoying life and not taking things too seriously. Having worked in the Public Sector for most of my adult life, I appreciate the challenges that come with shift work & a busy schedule whilst still working toward your goals.
I’m a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to training – I love pushing the limits on what my body can do and regularly train a mix of strength, Hyrox-style training and (reluctantly) running, and believe training should never be a chore.
So whatever your preferred style of training is, or if you’re wanting to give something new a go, we’ll work on a program to suit you individually. There’s no one-size-fits-all.

With a passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals, I bring energy, expertise, and a results-driven approach to every session.
As a certified CrossFit coach I specialise in guiding athletes of all levels—from beginners discovering the basics; to seasoned athletes striving for peak performance.
I’m a big fan of variety and enjoy coaching fitness, functional gymnastics and barbell movements, helping my clients be the best version of themselves”

Hello! I’m Alice, a level 3 personal trainer, level 2 gym instructor & also part of the reception team at Astar.
You will most likely see me behind the front desk ready to greet you, or on the gym floor coaching my clients!
My passion for the gym & fitness started when I was in college, using my spare time to attend my local gym. I started seeing some great results and became hooked to the process. That’s when I decided I could incorporate my dedication for the gym into my career.
Within my training I enjoy a variety of everything, which is why I love to do a mix of both functional fitness & strength training. I love to take on a challenge of lifting weights, whilst also stepping outside my comfort zone to complete hyrox-style workouts.
So whether you want to get stronger or are looking to improve your performance in fitness, I am here to help you reach your goals with a program suited to you and your lifestyle! I am a firm believer that working out and training shouldn’t be a chore so let’s work together to obtain a healthy & sustainable lifestyle for you!

Hi, I’m Amy, the in-house physiotherapist here at Astar!
I began my journey in the health and fitness industry 10 years ago as a personal trainer. After a year of working on the gym floor, I realised how challenging it could be to tailor exercises for clients with specific injuries, conditions, or unique biomechanics. To better support my clients, I completed my Level 3 and 4 qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy. While this added to my skillset, my curiosity and passion for making a real difference led me to pursue further higher education. Four years later, I proudly graduated with a first-class degree in Physiotherapy.
During my NHS placements, I discovered that my ethos and approach to rehabilitation didn’t fully align with the system. For me, rehabilitation is about taking the time to truly listen to my clients, building their confidence in movement, and helping them regain the ability to do the things they love, free from pain, injury, or limitations.
This is how Redemption Physiotherapy came to life. The name “Redemption” reflects the journey of reclaiming something you’ve lost. Having faced a few injuries myself, I know firsthand how it feels to lose your sense of identity and purpose when you’re unable to do the things you love.
I’m registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
If you think I can help, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d love to support you on your journey to recovery!

As I child I was always very active and danced for 16 years, then I had kids and my own fitness took a back seat. Once they got older I joined a gym and was terrified. It wasn’t until I started working with a Personal trainer who understood my struggles and helped me develop a sustainable, healthy lifestyle that I eventually grew to just love that feeling and the gym environment.
I soon realised I had a passion for it and wanted to help others who were nervous or new to the gym. I believe that everyone deserves to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, and I’m passionate about helping my clients achieve their fitness goals through personalized training plans and unwavering support.

Hi , My name is Steve. I’m 47yrs old and have over 15 yrs experience in the fitness industry. I’ve trained in everything, from grappling to CrossFit and Squash to Hyrox. Over the years I have pretty much covered all fitness bases, including fitness photoshoots!
I take learning and coaching very seriously and invested into myself by doing multiple course’s. But as the old saying goes you can’t beat experience! And luckily, I have both!
In recent years I have slowed down my training techniques and now focus on a much more functional, body awareness approach to my training and coaching.
I predominantly use kettlebells to really enhance my coaching, training people to connect with muscle memory and mobility.
